The UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) market is an exciting and rapidly evolving industry. With a predicted worth of over $228 billion, interest for the tech and its capability is steadily growing. However the ‘aerial data capture’ sector is varied and often confusing with companies offering similar hardware in the same tone of voice. Therefore our opportunity was to define Carbonix as a leader in aerial data solutions, beyond the drone itself, to cut through the noise and stand out with confidence on a global stage.
With an audience split between two categories; either the tech savvy surveyors or the large industrial organisations we wanted to connect with both through a superior design philosophy, demonstrating our engineering capability and building brand desirability as a competitive edge. Starting with internal stakeholders and client interviews we distilled the business aspirations, story and design philosophy to succinctly capture the Carbonix brand purpose, mission and vision.
With this strong, strategic foundation we created the identity and complete brand/design tone of voice which we expressed across all touchpoints such as corporate stationery and sales literature through to the UAV livery and componentry. The identity, at the heart of all the communications reflects the continuous design/test/refine ethos of all the product solutions. The brand has now secured multi-million dollar capital raises and recognition as a potential tech unicorn of the future.
